Engineering Express Fee Schedule
About Our Fees
- Engineering Express operates mostly on a fixed-fee basis for site-specific work.
- Projects are quoted (for businesses only) using our proprietary ExpressPass Project Management System.
- Other fees are calculated per the schedule below unless otherwise agreed to.
- Also visit our Plan Store for pre-engineered plans which list fees for engineer-certified general plans for permit.

General Blended Hourly Fee $250/hr
For Site-Specific Engineering Or General Consultation - For 2025 & 2026: This fee takes into account Engineer-Designer-Drafter & Admin fee as our blended hourly fee.

Building Product Discovery Phase Minimum Base Fee $6,000+
This is the minimum fee for us to review a manufacturer's building product to develop a systemized plan, performance evaluation, and/or product approval. This is for 24 hours minimum work and is only the base fee for a quote which would include additional costs to generate deliverables.

'Rush' Expedited Site-Specific Project Fees 50% of base design time
Depending on staff overtime availability, when permissible we can engage in expediting a project to be completed before our agreed due date. This typically results in an overtime fee for staff, passed on to the client.

11 X 17 Photocopies - (for site-specific projects we engineer for you) $0.75 per page (b/w)
Copies are per sheet, one sided, plus shipping. Contact us for color prices as needed.

24 X 36/Other Photocopies - (for site-specific projects we engineer for you) $2.50/page (bw)

Shipping Cost + 10%
Our standard fees are for UPS Ground. Some projects include shipping fees. Other shipping services available upon request.

Credit Card Processing (For Site-Specific Projects) 2.5%

Plan store fee has a 9% licensing fee to cover PE certification licensing & liability - This fee is waived if using Tokens (see below for more).
