Frank Bennardo, PE is a civil-structural engineer licensed in more than 40 U.S. states and an entrepreneur focused on advancing technology in the engineering and construction industries.

As Founder and CEO of Engineering Express, Frank has introduced scalable, technology-driven approaches to building component engineering, product evaluation, and building envelope design. His work has helped modernize how engineering services and product approvals are delivered, enabling national manufacturers, builders, and construction professionals to access engineering expertise more efficiently.

In 2005, Frank patented a modular CAT-5 Hurricane Netting System, designed to encapsulate and protect structures during severe storms, and built a company to manufacture and deploy the system. In 2008, he pioneered the digital modernization of building product evaluation data, which evolved into EngineeringPlans.com, a large searchable platform for building product approvals and engineering documents.

Frank has continued to lead the development of engineering technologies that automate and scale professional services, including on-demand engineering, digitally assisted product evaluations, engineering e-commerce platforms, AI-assisted product approval research, and digital marketplaces used by national brands and manufacturers. 

A nationally recognized expert in building components and product evaluation engineering, Frank is a frequent speaker and industry contributor. He remains focused on expanding technology-enabled & AI engineering services and advancing innovation within the profession.

Mr. Bennardo co-founded TaskCloud.com– an online service that powers a unique micro engineering project management & tasking platform.

Cat 5 Protection, Inc.

Mr. Bennardo also co-owned CAT-5 Protection, Inc., which developed the CAT-5 Hurricane Netting System.

He has received a patent for his extensive research and development on a modular large missile impact netting system that has been successfully deployed over areas such as houses, mobile homes, boats, cars, trailers, signs, lanais, and much more.

The CAT-5 Net has been protecting against storms and severe winter weather since 2005 across the globe.
