The Florida Product Approval program follows a structured review cycle administered by the Florida Building Commission and the Department of Business and Professional Regulation (DBPR)
Submittal Deadlines:
Applicants must upload all required product documentation to the state’s online system by the official deadline published on the Florida Building Commission website
After the submittal deadline, the review process generally proceeds according to the following schedule:
First Week After Submittal – Completion Deadline:
Period for applicants to provide clarifications, address reviewer comments, and finalize documentation.
Second Week – Public Comment Posting:
The application is posted for public viewing and feedback.
Third Week – Public Comment Deadline:
Final day for submission of public comments or technical objections.
Fourth Week – Final Report Submission:
The evaluation entity submits its report and recommendation to the DBPR for approval consideration.
