Plans & TER’s are dated when sealed and are tied to the listed building codes. The original sealed hardcopy versions are valid throughout the code cycle. The digitally sealed files that are not site-specific are encoded with an expiration date which would be listed in a red information box on the document. Site-specific projects that are digitally sealed are valid for use throughout the code cycle.
Remember, photocopies of originally sealed files and altered digitally sealed files are not valid to be used for permit. Only original engineering documents may be used to comply with code.
